Hi
Thanks Marie, will take a look, how have you found selling on here? gonna get started listing today and see how it goes :~)
In the past two months I've had three sales. The site is good and the people have been nice to deal with as a buyer and seller. But, I really don't know if there is much market for my *stuff about the house*. I've spent a lot of time trying to improve listings and the like. So, I've learned some things and the $75 Cdn isn't a substantial amount to invest to test the waters. It has been a large investment of my energy and time though.
When I would list a few postcards or other smaller collectable items on the dark side, I would generally only list about 15 items at a time and typically had about a 30% sell through rate. Here I now have over 250 items listed and am not seeing much in the way of sales.
I guess I'm going to give eBid a chance for the next few months. If things don't sell, well I'll donate them to the local hospital charity or put them in the recycle bin.

Welcome to all the new members! I'm very happy to see new sellers, the more the better.
And don't give up too easily. It took a couple of months before we started selling, and the recession is definitely affecting sales of higher-priced items right now. But, once an item is listed here, it doesn't cost anything to wait for that one elusive buyer who is looking for a specific item. List them, log in at least once a day to do the relists, check if anything has sold, and visit the forums either to get help or have fun.
I have listed items that I didn't expect to sell, but waiting has paid off and some have found a new home
hi
i have been a member for 2 days, thought i would give it a go. as always have done ebay, but getting really fed up with them!!!
hope e bid will be a more fairer site than ebay?
i listed 20 items that will finish tomorrow, does views mean watchers? or are they just hits. as not used to having no bids on items, lol
do many people use this site??
would appreciate any advise.
thank you
regards
sharon
No - Views mean hits to your auctions.
Ebid does not show watchers - we have asked them.
Unfortunately ebid does not have as many buyers as feebay, nor does any other site (aside from the river), so we have to accept lower sales.
But the ebid teams are really great and we all feel that the place is growing.
Suggest you read these forums, there are some great tips.
Could I suggest first that you add some details about yourself, and your policies in your About Me page. That will build up some trust.
welcome. flowermaker. I look forward to seeing your creations. Fill in your about me page too, so we can learn about who you are
