Don't pay until you have been in contact with the seller. Explain what's happened and go from there. The seller can adjust the invoice amount

Hi, I think most of us are reasonably understanding when this happens, just wait for an invoice to come through from the seller, if it comes through for two pairs contact the seller again.

I have to ask... why do you think "it would be quite easy to change"... as far as the seller is concerned (until you sent a message to them) you wanted 2 pair.

Also your seller may increases the cost of the one pair you want upward slightly as by saying you wanted (and bought) 2 pair they have been charged Final Value Fees's for 2 pair and will be out of pocket for the extra FVF.

Also please remember that your seller does not have to "let you off" buying 1 pair instead of the original 2 pair... you bought 2 pair they would be quite within their right to make you pay for 2 pair as you have entered into a legally binding contract to buy 2 pair... hopefully it wont come to that but just be aware that it could happen.

hello there only reason i thought it would be easy is nearly anything i have purchased on net before i can check sellers bill edit it if i have to and then confirm bill, there must be many a time when other users have done same dont you think it would be easier to check bill and edit if wrong totals have been charged i would understand if it was a auction item but not on a buy it now purchase think it should give you the chance of checking your purchase instead of charging you for 2 of the same items as i said before if at checkout they queried total purchased it would save a lot of problems every site does this

Most sellers are patient with buyers and willing to work problems out. I is better to collect the money on one than have the buyer fail to pay at all.

Is your seller experienced on eBid? If not you may need more advise on how to finish this transaction. If you need more help come back here and ask detailed questions and point the seller here too.

Very rare for the buyer to be able to change anything on the invoice, especially removing items as you say you are able to do elsewhere. Perhaps to specify shipping method but little else. Seller keeps that option to avoid problems.

As recommended, contact the seller immediately, explain what happened, apologize, and if they agree to remove one of the pairs, they will send you a new invoice.
