Halp please. Can't find my listings.
Hi all
How long does it take for listings to appear please? Just put a couple up but they are not showing...I'm (very) new to Ebid and having a bit of a panic. It definitely said my item had been listed and I cannot find any other posts on this. Do I need a store to list stuff? I thought that may be the issue but not sure.

They would be visible immediately. You don't have any listings, so either they broke the rules so magnificently they were removed instantly, or you didn't actually finish the listing process. Did you press "submit" on the second (preview) page? You say "it definitely said my item had been listed", but how definitely? Did you get an email confirmation with an item ID in? If so, what was it?

These are the links from the confirmation emails. Perhaps I did break the rules by putting a shop phone number in. I read that it wouldn't allow an e-commece phone number and this wasn't, but maybe that's it. Wouldn't Ebid have advised me if I'd messed up?

Ah... those links still work, your items *are* there. It's just the count that's wrong. I was lazy and didn't click to check, sorry. The counts throughout ebid tend to be updated twice daily, 12 noon and 12 midnight, so (as I've just seen!) it's best not to rely on them. However, as you say you've put a telephone number in and that *is* wrong (wherever it goes) so you'll want to edit the listings to take that out. The address too, I'm afraid. No contact information of any sort is allowed in listings or on your All About page, and if it's reported they'll be removed.
OK, have corrected that...legal at last...lol. Sorry to be a further pain (told you I was a newbie), are counts simply the amount of items you have listed? If so, will my listings appear at midnight, or immediately?
Also, I went with the pre-picked reply notification when posting, where will these show up?

By "counts" I mean the counting of listings as shown in various places, such as how many auctions you're running on your "about me" page, how many auctions there are in each store, or in a category. These are not updated in "real time", so lag behind the true figures.
Your listings, as I said, are visible - it's just the count that's wrong. Where do you think they are not showing?
p.s. this is what I see when I look at your listings. Is it the search or browse that's not working (not checked those)?
Tried typing them in on a search and they do not show.

Ah right. I think the search indexing is a little sluggish at the moment, a listing I put up this morning is perfectly visible via my shop, or browsing my listings, but a search doesn't return it yet. Looks like there's a blockage in the works!Originally Posted by signalsmodels
