Cool It's like the duvet moment all over again. ;)

Shoppers were subsequently told by telephone or delivery drivers that they must pay full price, or their orders would be cancelled.

Made me laugh, I'm sure I've heard or read somewhere that if your order has been accepted then the company can not ask for the customer to pay the full price. So if I am right in that then surely Asda should honour the sale.

It would depend entirely on the terms and conditions on the site, and I'm pretty darned confident ASDA wouldn't be risking getting their wotsit sued off - they'll have this one covered.

... they say there were very few people involved - if that is the case they should have honoured the few orders accepted - would have been good publicity for them, cost them peanuts for good publicity

    - so all the 'buyers' are getting is a 'free delivery and a reduction' hmmm - silly Public Relations - it has cost them instead of a plus

Depends how ASDA are defining "very few" - compared with what, exactly? A few thousand might seem like very few compared with their annual customer list.
