Bulk Edit won't change my descriptions

I tried again with about 40 items, all had the text I wanted to change, but nothing was changed ""Attempted No Change Possible" please let me know what I can do that may help me take advantage of the bulk edit feature, Bucket 25304 was my last attempt.

You don't make it clear if you read and applied Astral's information at post #8. I would definitely expect that to work if you took care to copy from the *source*.

If it still is not playing then try making the change in segments to see if you are hitting some limit trying to change it all at once.

You never did say what you were trying to change it to - so I can't really advise on how you should segment it. But, for example, if you were only trying to change the cost of the stamps then do one pass changing 'stamp will add 10 cents' and then a second pass changing 'stamp will cost 40 cents'

And if Gazza happens to stumble back in here...any chance of a definite answer to what the field limit is when doing a replace in Bulk Edit?

Yes I used the HTML that is on the page that I wanted removed. It just will not work for me.

Copying and pasting from HTML didn't work, so I think my problem is I'm trying to change too many characters at one time.

Could you please, just let us know what the limit is? I'll have to plan this carefully, and I'd rather not make more passes than necessary.
