Thread: July and August heatwave ?

  1. #1

Default July and August heatwave ?

I've just heard on the radio that they're (dunno who "they" are?) forecasting a heatwave to last most of July and August.

Erm... Didn't they forecast the same for the summers of 2008 and 2009 ?

Last years summer wasn't too bad but it certainly wasn't a heatwave. Let's see if they've got it right this year. If they forecast a heatwave every year then they're gonna be right eventually.

It's nice here today, a bit cold but lovely and sunny. It was nice yesterday too, so nice that I walked to my second job and back (approx 8 miles round trip) and took a few photos and a short video. This is perfect weather for me, I don't like it too hot.

Here is the short video (29 seconds) that I took yesterday morning.

According to the farmer I have my hay and straw from, this year will be the same as last year and the year before.

He was right last year and the year before~ so I'm hoping he's wrong this year~

Can't be right all the time, can he?

I wish I had the job as a weather forecaster- they are the only peeps I know to get paid for getting it wrong

What a beautiful place to walk, Yorkie. Looks so green and pleasant and the birds sound cheery. My paved suburban walking route is stuffy and crowded in comparison.

... not a sunlover- just go red and peel and get even more bad-tempered than usual - so have to open windows wide, close curtains and pray for a breeze
