I am going to be listing lots of stuff over this week and have already contacted ALL my old customers from fee-bay.

I am hoping that sales will increase on here as more & more move away from the bay as it is now becoming a business platform more than just a standard selling auction site.

I hope I am making the right move as all this listing is going to take me a fair bit of time.

I am not going to upgrade as yet until I see some kind of return but if I get that return then the upgrade will be done for sure.

All I want is to find a platform to sell from on a daily basis so I may just as well give this a go.

I do have my own shop that I have built away from auction sites that also needs to be fully loaded with items so will be working on both of theses. My final items finish their auction state over at the bay in 2 hours time so I can then remove my account.

I mainly sell vinyl records / cds / and a few other things thrown in. I know my sales at the bay where very good but with one new rules after another it has become a joke and has given the green light to business sellers and a big fat red light to private sellers.

i hope it works out here.
Yes, I agree this post is in wrong place, but you are getting a welcome to ebid anyway.

Very important to get sales moving, read past forums and follow every single tip. About 20 of them. May seen unusual i.e. list lots of items, but there is method to the madness. i.e. google works best w/ lots of item as they grab items for searches randomly, so the more you list, the more sales you have.

If you follow all the tips, your first sales will come in 2-3 week. If not, come back and ask for help. Someone is always here to help you.

Welcome to ebid. I just took a look at your items and they are all run till sold - RTS. This will keep your items at the bottom of a search when a buyer looks for items. You might want to change them to 7-10 day listings with 10 autoreposts. That will make your items circulate to the top under searches. Take a look at the the 'starting an auction' forums for other tips.

You're welcome. You will find ebidders actually like to help others out. We all want this site to become bigger than you-know-where. It takes all of us pulling together to make that happen.

Let your older buyers know where you have landed. I also list my items on Craig's List with a link to my ebid store. Here's an example: Link. I've had several sales made by using CL and it also promotes ebid to those who do not know about it.

    Good luck on your sales.

Oh you knew what I was talking about. The discussion chats I visited at ebay had become so brutal & mean spirited. It was like eintering a whole other world. I was even a bit shy to ask anything here. Thanks to you, you broke the ice & my apprehension. I saw your craigs list add. that is Hot!!!
I was planning in doing that also. I did see a small link someone had put in their Craigs list but nothing like yours.
I will need to get a bit better at tags, html & what ever it takes to do that.
I am waiting on an answer fro Admin to tell me how they can help import my feddback, not only to repatoo but to my ebid site. Talk to you soon. PS you have lots of fun stuff for sale. Robin :=)

Robin, To import feedback from repatoo: go to my ebid, then click my feedback [left column], then click import feedback [4th tab on top of my feedback], then enter your repatoo username, then click request feedback import.

    Yes, excellent advice.

Look thru the forums and gather all the selling tips offered. Just as you did on feebay to appeal to buyers and follow feebay rules. Different source of buyers here, different methods of selling appeal ot them, and different tweeks needed to get your things noticed. You make those changes and the sale come.

And as we find little things that work, we all come back and share them. So many knowledgeable people here, from marketing, keyword, ebid rules experts to people who know art, coins, stamps, collectables, etc. Someone is always here to help you get started.
