I too would like to say what a breath of fresh. cheaper air !!, this eBid is, and if you have a query almost instant help from frinedly people, quite a shock, I still sell 'over there' I have to, this is my living, but I am doing my all to promote eBid, business cards sent out, I had them made for my eBid store, websites built, for free but they are there and promoting us all, emails sent to the thousands of buyers I have had over the last 8/9 years over there and that was where my sale came from, it is worth it, I emailed a buyer from the other site and 1 hour later he joined here and bought a jacket, cool. Long may it all continue, and I have a feeling that this is the NEXT BIG THING, But we all have to work at it, I feel more like this is our site than I ever do over there, so whatever we can all do lets do it.

Agree, and its not just the cheaper part. Here there is equality in selling. Some big box company does not come in and get extra special rates, freedom from suspension, exemption from rules, and worst part, get their items to appear first on the lists. Everyone has an equal chance to sell their product and the lists can't be manipulated by silly rules.

You sound like you are starting off really well. Keep on using the tips, and push it further, have a sale, discount if an old buyer crosses over, whatever. New concept, you get to run your own business without constant interference! Feels good.

Hello and welcome, I have not been here long but find it a friendly place. I read the topics every day and have picked up some great tips. I have sold a few bits but that does not seem to matter the people here and the chit- chat makes up for that. Your never along there always seems to be someone to help. I agree. So refreshing to have sellers working together here. We accomplish so much more. Over there the attitude was why help each other, that person will steal your buyers. And any nasty stuff was ignored by management. After a while the forums were useless for help, friendship, or figuring out selling strategies.

Yes, we often get off subject, but that is the fun part. Feel free to join in and share with other members. Nothing is too small to talk about, and some classics escapades have been shared. i.e. the exploding potato, and the wheelie bin caper.

Welcome to all you new sellers, as already stated, the sales will come. By coming on the forums you are already going in the right direction to get sales.

Joiin in the fun on the Kitchen Table forum, and once you've got your listing sorted out try joining in with the YDC charity auctions held at the end of each month.

hi all,
im new to ebid it is a breathe of fresh air over here then stupid greedbay with their silly rules, i have yet to make a sale, but still keeping my hopes high, you can list so fast here which is good, as it just seemed to take ages to list on feebay, loading pics etc slow over there, a lot quicker here and everything a lot better and easier to follow.

i mostly sell cassette tapes which seems to be quite big over here i usually start my auction at 99p or below which seems to be the going rate, could someone check my stores to see where im going wrong, maybe might just get my first sale woohoo, then i will be jumping for the roof lolol.

Stick at it and sales will come.Look at it as more a long term thing than a short fix.
You have to work a bit harder maybe,but things will start moving.
