Thread: Mysterious Envelope

  1. #1

    Default Mysterious Envelope

I forgot to mention this on here a couple of days ago, so I'll say it now.

2 Days ago at 10:05am a small brown envelope plopped on my door mat, No return address on it and the writing is none of that of my family, however on the envelope it had my address on it (no name though). The reason why I know it wasn't from my family is because I phoned them all up and asked them and none of them admitted to it, plus I can tell who's handwriting is who's in my family, so I opened it to see if there was a return address on the paper inside...................Postage had been paid by 1st class stamp.

    No paper in the envelope.

All that was in the envelope and is still sitting in the envelope was £20 note.

Now my question is this and there will be a poll aswell to see what people would do. If an envelope dropped through your door with your address on it but no name or return address and just £20 sitting in the envelope would you?

    A) Keep the money as it came to your address and there is no way to return it back to original sender

    B) Hand in £20 to the police and tell them that it came through your door

    or

    C) Keep the money in the envelope - reseal the envelope and keep it somewhere safe until the person turns up to whom it was originally for (even though no name on envelope)?

If it came here it would probably be payment for something I'd sold, and I'd make considerable efforts to work out what.

I would keep the money and assume it was sent to my address by a joinee who was performing a random act of kindness.

I actually believe that any money that gets sent to my address is mine...unless my son is expecting some to turn up.

A mysterious package from the PO and now a mysterious letter containing £20. You must have a mysterious admirer.

Do you think if I wished for £50, then £50 would come through my door?

Only if you believe you deserve it and nothing in your subconscious is telling you otherwise.

Well if £50 did pop through my letter box it wouldn't be because I deserved it, but would be so I can get my girl her toddler bed £49.99 from B&M

I deserve all the money that comes my way....I tend to expect to have everything I ask for...and I do (not always in the way I would have guessed though)

The trick is not to ask for things you don't deserve and won't get. Then it never fails.
