Just imagine the fury-induced strength required to drive a rusty knife through a SKULL. The perp had to be on some kind of PCP type drug or seriously unbalanced. I hope he (assuming it's a male) is not still on the loose. I despair over mob emotion stirred up over something as frivolous as any game.
