Rheumatoid Athritis I am only 44.

Being sent to a specialist because I also have Hypothyroidism which is also and auto-immune disease or something...

Anyone else have this? Doc said they have medication which can slow it down but no cure.

I have had an underactive thyroid since my mid twenties..so rheumatoid arthritis is something that I'm aware of too.

Thanks Sunny I do ache a lot but I put it down to weight. Doc found it in routine blood test then repeated and still there

Fair, age has nothing to do with it. My mum was disgnosed with it in her late 20's, she's 51 now and in a bad way with it.

Don't want to scare you, but be very careful with your eyes, get regular checkups. We were not aware RA can affect the eyes until it was too late, my mum is now registered partially sighted, but in reality has very little usable sight .

Shelley, I have been wondering about that. My eyes are permenantly dry and feel like they have grit in them. So sorry to hear about your Mum
