I'm invisible for similar reasons - seen the ability to watch what people are doing abused too many times. And it offends my natural sense of privacy. As for what impression it gives... mostly none at all, I would think. Only experienced forum users even know the facility exists. Are newbies coming here going to ignore any help and advice I give them and go off in a huff because I've chosen not to let trouble-makers know exactly where I am all the time? Doubt it.

And now, as far as I'm concerned, this latest squabble is done. Gazza's spoken, the facts have been stated, time to get back to the business of listing, selling, and helping folk out. Morning!

It even extended, as I have said, to another site and threatened to move into real life. When someone has bought from you, they have your address. That made me nervous, especially as I am alone at home all day in a very quiet cul-de-sac. It takes a while to forget that sort of thing.

That's terrible! I'm glad that was before my time!

I'm invisible too - I read a thread about it being a good idea soon after I arrived here because of past events but I had no idea it was that bad.
