Thread: Picture load problem

  1. #1

    Default Picture load problem

I'll do my best to explain.

    On Google Chrome

I only sign in for 3 hours at a time (in other words I do not tick the sign in for 24hours box)

Now when I am auto logged out, but listing an auction, when I try to load a photo from my gallery to the auction I get the circle just going round and round so I cannot choose a photo from within my gallery.

In order to fix I click the x at top, go to preview auction, then get the log in page, I log in and then go to edit auction so I can continue.

In other words, if the system logs me out during starting a new auction and uploading a picture (this happens a lot to me) then I get no log in screen at that point and have to go through the thing described in blue text above to log back in. Yes it only takes 30 secs or so to do the circle but is annoying now

    Hi,

Do you mean you are on the listing form and then after 3 hours of inactivity you come back to the same listing form and the problem occurs then?

    No.

Me 3 hours inactive You ain't that lucky

I can be doing a batch of listings, and after the 3 hours it seems to log me out between doing the title and choosing the photo.

So I'm actually active at the time of being logged in to be logged out after the 3 hours ish of the system logging me out.

The way you could test this to replicate is have 2 google chrome tabs open, enter the title in tab one, log out in tab 2, go back to tab 1 and then choose picture, you should then see what I mean about not loading a picture, nor giving the log in page

Then surely it's doing what it's supposed to do, log you out after 3 hours.
I doubt the system knows or cares what you are doing.
If you don't want it to happen either
click the log me in for 24 hours box, or only list for two hours 55 mins, then stop for 6 mins, then log in again.

Yes, but... isn't Rainy's complaint that the process hangs and she has to back out and find the log-in manually? Whatever stage of the process she's at, what it should do ideally is bring up the log-in screen and then continue to the next step - that's what it does elsewhere. But with picture loading (in her experience) that's not happening, it's just failing to load and sulking at her.

    That's exactly what's happening.
