So in your example
zip = kookyspooky.zip
photo1 = kookyspooky001.jpg?
or
photo1 = 001.jpg?

Yes

The zip is called in this case kookyspooky

The photos are 001, 002, 003 etc

What I am asking is that the files are in order at upload relating to the file.

If I had 100 in a file they would be 001 - 100 but as they are in no order in the my gallery area finding number 35 for example is not easy unless you type 035 in the search area. I wouldn't need to do the search if they were in the order of the zip file which in effect is the order in which they were photoed

No, don't work, but even if it did, for those that give their photos a name individually would still not be able to search low to high if they didn't take them in alphabetical order.

Personally I cannot see why the eBid zip file uploader, uploads the files randomly rather than in the order they are in the zip file. rather than trying to over-complicate things, if the uploader uploaded in order then everyone would be happy wouldn't they?
