Yup - watched a prog on this not long ago.

The world cup this year is going to be the big test for it - a couple of companies will be transmitting it in 3d, and there are going to be a select few pubs and cinemas invited to purchase the license to show it live.

The glasses they gave me look just like a pair of dark glasses, they are ok as it goes, nowt at all like the old red and green cardboard ones

I enjoyed it, fully expected the usual scenario where all the money goes into the SFX and gadgets, leaving very little to pay the script writers. But was pleasantly surprised, although the plot line of sending someone who is not fully fit into a battle zone is a bit unbelievable.
