Do you not think its made enough from the sellers its already managed to get signed up ?

Ok the site was revamped, but thats a hell of a lot cheaper to do than advertise.

Also advertising would bring in Buyers and Sellers.
It should pay for itself pretty quickly.

    Music.

Aristotle, a contemporary of Plato's, says when music changes there should be laws to govern the nature and the character of that music.

While I love the format of this site and the options it provides, without sells it's just been a time hog getting it set up. Maybe someone could take a look at some of my listings and give me some advice - I really don't want to give up on this site. Thanks, Shelley
For everyone, if you don't have your first sale in 2-3 weeks, come back and let us take a look. The sooner you tweek the better.

For Shelley, are you sure you are appearing on google by using both buy it now AND ten automatic relists? With few views I don't think you are. This will get you outside bidders/buyers.

I would also add 7 day auctions, and put it in your store too. Gets you more exposure on ebid this way. Items move up the categories until they expire so more people see them.

Almost lastly, you NEVER filled in your about me page. It is blank. This is where potential buyers look to see if you are a professional seller who will deliver the goods. You have nothing here.

Lastly, I really really really disliked the list of conditions I had to understand to buy from you in every one of your listings. HUGE list of NO NO NO NO, and I would never buy from someone who had so many rules. Very unfriendly. If you have refund policy, etc, just add this to the bottom of your about me page. KEEP VERY SHORT, not paragraph after paragraph, this is scaring people away. People are friendlier and more casual here, no one wants to bother with complicated stuff.

I suspect this last item is what is keeping customers away. I tell new sellers to start fresh here. One of the things to drop is the endless disclaimers we all added to our listings. No need to do it here and you know, looking at it now (and mind you, I did this too), it does look very rude. Like going into a store and getting frisked, having your credit checked, asked questions if you are honest, being told not to shoplift, etc, when you are just looking around.

Your items are super cute, the prices/shipping are reasonable. Make the above changes and you will have sales. To make super sure things start to move along, add a monthly sale to your banner ("notices"), a certain % discount, free shipping if they buy two buttons (very cheap to ship, you lose nothing and gain an extra sale), something to get people excited.

Come back and tell us how you are doing.

I know nothing about advertising apart from it is a very expensive thing to do.

But maybe some speculation for accumulation is the way forward,
    I mean for Ebid.

Put it this way, the more people complain about "no sales" the worse it looks for Ebid and could very well discourage many potential customers, both sellers and buyers. Also these threads will be seen in other places, not just by the people visiting these forums.

Get the Ebid name out and about, promote, cause a buzz and then reap the benefits.

From this thread it seems that people are making the odd sale here and there, but no one is selling lots of items every week.

That is what we need to achieve to make paying for a lifetime seller worth it.

We also seem to selling to each other !

Are there any sell through stats on ebid ?

Just shipped my first sale here on ebid. Not a big one - i probably saved a buck or two comparing selling on the other side. Way to go for my lifetime seller investment. Back to the waiting game again until my next customer rings the bell, hopefully not long - but who knows.

It took me 3 weeks for first sale then had 3 sales in this week.

Mind you 2 were big sales from old customers I had contacted, they wanted combined cheaper purchases and I refered them to here as I could afford to sell for less due to lower fees. So happy customers and less I pay in fees - GREAT

Yes I feel the same about tracking etc, although this site seems pretty easy to use, sometimes I think ebay has too many options for listing.
I joined ebid few days ago nothing sold yet but thats okay at the moment as I could do with a nap!
