I don't know where you are downloading your file from, but when I go to "My Bulk Upload" and click on the link "Download eBid Ninja Lister v0.92 (Beta) here" and download it I get a compressed folder with the following in it with No .exe file you describe
    Folders:
    assets
    fckeditor
    META-INF
    + files
    Main.swf
    mimetype

It seems it is a known problem as mentioned here

Should not be a compressed file, it should be a .air file - look carefully at the url you are clicking, does it end with the .air extension? if it does, then you must have some sort of file type association issue on your PC that treats .air as a compressed folder.

if you have AIR installed correctly (http://get.adobe.com/air/) and the appropriate file type association is set, the .air should run automatically. and when THAT runs, it is the installer running, and that should create your .exe, and place icons on your desktop.

if it does not run, then you likely do not have a correct air installation , perhaps you should use add/remove programs and un-install adobe air, then go to the url above and re-install air , make sure you allow file types of .air to be associated with that program.. other than that I have no clue how to help you.. Ive already tried this on my laptop , which did not have air installed, obviously ninjalister would not install .. downloaded air from adobe and installed that, tried again on the download (didnt even delete anything) and it installed all by itself.. so all I can think of is that you may have some software on your computer that uses the .air file type and that software is trying to open or run the .air you are downloading, instead of adobe air ..

Ahh seems you found the culprit.. have you tried taking that .zip file and manually re-naming it to .air and see if it will execute? or right click on the .zip and see if it will open with air

other than that I guess we just have to wait til they can set mime content type on the servers..

Hmmm... Just tried it with IE7 and no problems whatsoever.

    I would suggest trying:

Click on the link in your My Bulk Upload area.

Select to SAVE the file not open it.

If the file has been renamed with a .zip extension then change it to .air and try running it again.

If that is not enough then right click on the file, select Open With... and choose Adobe AIR Application Installer to open the file.

Gazza, can I suggest you put a note on the download page that there might be problems with certain browsers, hopefully it will be the same simple problem for other users, otherwise first impressions are very good, I am putting suggestions for improvements in the appropiate category
    Thanks Phil
