After ticking the box. I have to log on every 12 hours.

When you log on eBid sends a small file called a cookie to your computer. It is set to "self destruct" (expire) after the set time period of 24 hours. The cookie is used to store your logged on status. If yours is expiring early then it is likely to be the security settings on your machine - perhaps a programme you have set to run automatically - that is deleting the cookie.
