    Default Having problems getting Ninja Lister to run

    I know I am probably missing something obvious, but I cant seem to get the programme to run.
    I have installed Air and unpacked the Ninja files to a folder but cant seem to get the lister to work.
    I cannot find the Air programme anywhere on my pc except in with the Ninja files, I have tried running Air but it just comes up with a listing with mentions of Ninja in it.
    Help Please

    screen shots may be helpful (wherever it "stops" or seems to stop, hit the prt scr or print screen button (generally above number keypad or cursor keys) , open up Paint (standard with Microsoft, found under Accessories of start menu) right click in blank area, click paste, file->save as and save as a .jpg then you can attach it to your post ..
    Many changes yet again, started a new venture, and you can watch my store grow here: Really Rural Woodworks

    Me too
    I have downloaded both the lister and the Air four times already and the only folders that appear on my desktop are :

    assets
    META-INF
    fckeditor

    When I click on the folders they open the subs and so on but can't find the lister itself. I don't know if it's my computer or that I missed something in the download. I also tried to do a print screen but it wouldn't take as well. Hope you can help please ?

    What we are asking is if we could have step by step instructions how to run the lister as its not a normal executable programme.
    After installing Air and unpacking the lister there are the three folders and two files

    Folders:
    assets
    fckeditor
    META-INF
    + files
    Main.swf
    mimetype
    Now what do we do with these to run the lister, clicking on "Main" opens up an acrobat web page plus a black acrobat.com screen but with no controls visible, in the META-INF folder is another sub folder "Air", clicking on the application.xml in this folder brings up a listing which starts with the following
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/1.5">
    - <!--
    Adobe AIR Application Descriptor File Template.

    Specifies parameters for identifying, installing, and launching AIR applications.

    xmlns - The Adobe AIR namespace: http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/1.1
    The last segment of the namespace specifies the version
    of the AIR runtime required for this application to run.

    minimumPatchLevel - The minimum patch level of the AIR runtime required to run
    the application. Optional.

    -->
    - <!-- The application identifier string, unique to this application. Required.
    -->
    <id>main</id>
    - <!-- Used as the filename for the application. Required.
    -->
    <filename>eBid Ninja Lister</filename>
    - <!--
    The name that is displayed in the AIR application installer.
    May have multiple values for each language. See samples or xsd schema file. Optional.

    -->
    <name>eBid Ninja Lister</name>
    - <!-- An application

    Do you have to run the Air programme and then open one of the files with it, if so where is the Air programme as I cant find it anywhere
    Any help would be appreciated

    for me, as I already have Adobe9 installed (I do a lot of PDF work) all I did was go to download the lister, and it pops up a message asking if I want to save it or run it, I choose to run it, it installed just fine .. I am guessing the problem with needing AIR is if you dont already have adobe installed

    Double clicking the .air file should install the Ninja Lister. No unpacking is necessary.

    What happens when you open the .air file?

    Hi Gazza thanks for helping, in the add/remove programme section od control panel it shows the programme "Air" is installed but searching on my pc I cant find it.
    There isnt an actual "Air"file only the "Air" directory as one of the subdirectories of the "ninjalister_0.9" folder as mentioned above with "application.xml and "hash file in it.
    If I click on the application.xml file I get a windows explorer page with the listing above on it. I also have Adobe reader installed
    Hope you can understand what I am trying to describe
    Regards Phil
    PS. Just had a thought the lister doesnt need the full version of acrobat to run does it

    adobe air is a program that runs in the background like Microsoft's .NET framework its not some thing you can open and see it work.
