I have not heard from a seller since I paid for 3 items in mid-December. Not sure if you're allowed to give the name of the seller you haven't heard from, but does it have "disney" in it?
I have since filed a claim with Paypal since that's how I paid.
While I'm on the subject, I'm worried perhaps my sour seller had an emergency. However, over 100 items have been listed in the last week alone; some of them had been listed before, but didn't sell. So my question is: is there a function for the seller to have an auction automatically renew if an item didn't sell?

To answer your question, yes, the system does automatically renew unsold items if you set the auctions up that way (which most of us do)
But the point still remains that you have got neither your goods or your money.
Since you opened up a case with PP she should now be notified - have you escalated that to a claim or have you left it as a dispute and are waiting for her to respond?
The other posters are right, you should inform eBid - it could be that the seller has done this to several other people as well but they don't know unless people inform them.
Personally I wouldn't leave any feedback until you get your refund via PP. (If the seller empties their PP account PP may not refund you)
Thanks, Artisan and florida, for your helpful responses and enlightenment.
Yes, I escalated my dispute to a claim with Paypal just yesterday. As much as I would like the 3 items I purchased, I cannot (should not have to) wait any longer to see if I'll get the items I picked out for Christmas presents (and will now be too late even for birthday presents next week.)
I haven't left feedback yet since I had been hoping to hear from the seller. We had some friendly chit-chat in the beginning of these transactions, so I am actually surprised by the sudden silence. I had to contact her twice for the combined shipping prices, and she finally got back to me, saying she had a daughter with pneumonia, but that was long before Christmas. I would be haunted by guilt for a long time if I left negative feedback, and then found out her daughter took a turn for the worse. That's why it's good to know that auctions can be automatically renewed. She has over 100 listed right now, so at least I can think perhaps she isn't sitting around taking time to list, but not to ship.
It has crossed my mind that perhaps the seller is "ripping off" others, so I'll try to alert eBid. Their page is difficult to read with the purple and black words and background.
All for now....let's hope for a happy ending. I'm extremely new to eBid and really don't want to feel sour about it.
To add to my last note...
Due to the high workload, eBid discourages someone from contacting them directly ("We have 3 methods for aiding our members... Frequently Asked Questions, Via the Support Forums and after reading the FAQs and having posted a message in the forums without reply, you can contact us by email.)
And if I do contact them, they won't check into this until the seller has received 2 negative feedbacks. ("Please leave appropriate feedback for the user. If a user receives 2 negative feedbacks in a row or negative 1 overall we will automatically be alerted to this and will review the users membership at eBid. We monitor all negative feedback and will take appropriate action." )
Now, I CAN give this seller 3 negatives since I bought 3 items, but I guess I'll wait to see if Paypal can figure out anything. I think they gave the seller until January 21 to respond. I guess I'll do some more shopping at the store for birthday presents...
Thanks again....be good...enjoy life!
Read my previous notes in this saga. Yesterday I asked the seller a question just to see if she was around. She answered a few hours later, so I gave her negative feedback on each of the 3 items. Today I notice a strikethrough over her name and all her (100+) auctions are gone. WHAT HAPPENED?
