Very funny. But i think it applies more to UPS. They are supposed to ring doorbells and hand over packages personally, but almost every time I've received one via UPS, it's just a doorbell ring, drop the package, and sprint to the truck without looking back.

I must say the United States Postal Service has performed ADMIRABLY for me both sending and receiving packages over the years. Hope that's not jinxing anything.

Also, some people who live in dodgy or dicey areas should probably arrange to have their packages delivered to their work address if nobody's home during the day.

Didn't mean to scowl on your humor.

That would have been better service than we used to get where we lived before moving to Iowa. We would watch the mail truck drive through the woods, stop at the little bridge over our creek and then turn around, never even making it to the house with the package! The next day we'd get a little slip in the mail saying the package was undeliverable because we weren't home. That was the end of mail-order pharmacies for us

I'll join Ada and risk jinxing myself, but the USPS since we've moved here has been amazing. The post office in our town even won an award a couple years ago for being one of the best performing POs in the nation.

UPS has been very good here too; the UPS guy throws out biscuits to the dogs whenever he comes. Some of the other delivery company drivers won't exit their trucks in our yard; they just lean on the horn while the dogs circle the van, expecting biscuits.

I observed the UPS guy delivering a package next door yesterday. I think he was afraid of their dogs. He never went up to the door, he wrapped the package in a plastic bag and put it in front of the gate. There is another UPS guy that leaves the gate open while he goes to the door - Grrrrrr!

Oh yeah Harold, because your babies have never heard of biscuits...

My sister had a delivery person who left their gate open; her Scottie got out and was killed in traffic.
