Thread: Can someone work this out

  1. #1

Question Can someone work this out

3 Days ago I put £10 in my Gas meter, yesterday it said 12p so I put the card in and £5 (which I thought was emergency) was transferred saying £5.12, today I go and put another £10 on and it read £12.59, thing is when I put the card in my meter yesterday it said £0.00 on card, but the emergency credit never went on, so where did the £5 appear from if the card was empty and the emergency wasn't put on?

did you read the amount when you put the original £10 on? that sounds very expensive for 3 days use so just wondering if maybe the £10.00 you paid onto your card went onto the meter in two £5 lots.

Yes, when I put the original £10 on it went straight on the meter, the card was then empty cause the original balance on the meter was £3.64 which is why I put the £10 on. The other reason why I'm using alot of gas is due to the property being ice cold so have the heating on constantly and I've no carpet to keep the heat in.
