Shipping - Allow marking without writing anything

I can't see a suggestion here along these lines...but please could we have the ability to mark as shipped without having to put something in the log?

(Or if we can, could someone please let me know how to do it).

It would also be very nice if we could mark as shipped everything included in one order at the same time, as it would save multiple emails to the customer, and multiple fillings-in of the logs. It's been done for the multiple invoice, to be able to do it for shipping would be helpful.

I'm still learning the ways of doing things and havn't come accross anything along the lines of what you're after - but when I've got multiple items to mark as shipped, I just copy (right mouse click) whatever detail I've written in the box, and paste it into each item in turn. Its not ideal, but it saves typing the same thing more than once.

Why do people think they have to actually write anything...I just put a few full stops...no need to think about something to say...
after all the buyer just wants to know its shipped and when.

Saying that, it is useful sometimes to have the option to add something if necessary.

but we should have the option to leave the space blank....

I think you can mark all as shipped from the multi invoice, but only need to put in one comment. I usually tell the person it has been posted, shipping method used, & a request they let me know it has arrived.

So you can. View invoice > Small link top right corner, "Mark all as shipped".

I'd missed that, it didn't occur to me to look on the invoice for a link.
