Also you do not state who will pay for the return postage costings, this is also advised
    http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/bus...ral/oft698.pdf page 6
The DSRs say that you must provide consumers with clear
information so that they can make an informed choice about whether
or not they wish to buy from you. In most cases you must also give
consumers the right to a cancellation period.
2.4 The information you give must include details about:
    your business
the goods or services you are selling
    your payment arrangements
    your delivery arrangements, and
consumers’ right to cancel their orders where appropriate.
thanks for the advice i will spend a little time trying to make it correct,
although i have been considering closeing this site down as theres very little activity,
its getting harder to spent time on here when my ebay sites doing ok. but the fees are killing it on there, but better to have big fees on there than no fees on here,
i will change my about me page as 2 or 3 members have sugested its hard on there eyes, but dont have the time to change all the listings, which do work for me on ebay,
    and thanks for the advice

Hi one of the things you may have overlooked is that on eBid you have to do alot of your own marketing (hence the difference in fees). The question you have to ask yourself is "Who would I rather the money go to me or fleezebay?"

I don't know what your business model is, but have you contacted YOUR customers on the other site to tell them that you are here? Maybe (if you haven't already, cut the P&P to reflect the fee differences. Then send a flyer with each item sold elsewhere, saying that this and other items are available here with cheaper P&P.

Very good point. True of all alternate sites. On sites like ebid, the seller truely runs their own business and makes the marketing and selling decisions. Never had a chance to do that on feebay.

We have all worked closely with OP and made similiar suggestions. Few changes were ever made. Hard to expect buyers to keeping coming back again and again if everything remains the same month after month. At some point buyers go away because sellers only get a few chances to get the selling combination right.

hi. thanks i do take in your advice and will try to change things, problem is time, i spend more time on my ebay site simply because i get between 150 and 200 sales a month and only sold 4 items on here in over a year, and all my ads are similar and they seem to work on ebay,
but i have paid the joining fee and as listings dont cost me now, will keep it going,i looked at some other sellers doing similar and there feedbacks not going up so persume there not selling either,

morning Ian , you are trying hard to tell members about some of the fakes you see here...I would suggest you just try to sell your items and let others worry about what they buy.......( in my opinion ) it looks like some do not want to be warned...or get fed up hearing it so often .... someone said lower post and packing on eBid......that is stupid...if an item costs £4.95 on one site...it will be the same on any other site....( unless the postage has been raised for some reason ) what I am saying here is....no matter what site you use....the P&P should be the same...
