suggestion to attract & retain new members

I joined ebid as an alternative to ebay but now discover that unfortunately I am unable to use the site to trade because of the restrictions on paypal usage for "standard" buyers / sellers without paying additional fees to upgrade.

Considering the commonplace popularity of paypal as a payment option on many sites, ebid would certainly benefit from making integrated paypal a standard feature for all membership grades without charging for the privellage. This would certainly encourage new users and retain existing ones.

You are registered as a buyer so wouldn't be asking for people to buy from you using paypal.

You'll need to subscribe or upgrade to the lifetime option to sell and accept Paypal directly.

As far as I know you can use paypal no matter what level you are as a seller ? The only thing you don't get is the invoicing button which is a perk of upgrading. You just send a money request direct from paypal instead as far as I can remember.


It's well worth upgrading if you can as the half price offer on lifetime seller+ ends on the 5th January.


Any sellers fees that have already been paid are deducted from the price too. A bargain if you think you will never have to pay another listing or relisting fee again !
