I think you just did. But how it should look after Babs rules remains to be seen. As me again when she's back.

You only need the * when searching. That should catch anything with YDC in it

Bingo! It's your search that's the problem. So many people get confused about what form the YDC number should take, with or without a space that it's recommended that you search for "YDC*" - the star (*) means "and any other characters here", so all versions are picked up. People still got confused and put the star in the title in several cases. Babs has tried to reinforce the standard is without a space, to get as many getting it right as poss (which is why I picked up on what you'd said) but it's an uphill battle.

But the ideal is: no space in the code; and a star in the search.

Thanks for holding the fort Kim whilst I was unavoidably off line due to pc 'glitches'. I've managed to re-set the personal trimmings again and have finally re-found everything and put it back where I want it on the 'desktop' - but somewhere along the way - all the contact addresses, and archived emails - including received from Aug 2007 to 13th November have been lost in the ether.

With ref to the proper title for YDC. Should it be YDC 72 or YDC72 or YDC*72 - the rule is YDC72 = no space inbetween the letters & digits

For our USA players - YDC72 USA or USA YDC72 is fine - again no space inbetween the letters & numbers. USA can follow or lead.

- although I won't be searching through your lsitings and stopping any that have the space or asterix inbetween. The important thing is that we have sellers who are willing to donate items for other crazy people to bid on and help support some great charities.

The * only comes into action when doing searches - if you type in YDC* it will lead to a search that will pick up any variation of the YDC that the seller has used.
