It seems the boards allow user to type pretty much whatever they want for their location

On many IDs I see it get abreviated to xxxxx,xxxxxx, Unite..

Which leads one to wonder if it's United States, United Kingdom or Unitezekistan

Perhaps there should just be a choice of US or Them

My location was 'wouldn't you like to know?' for a while...and sometimes 'on another planet' so we can put pretty much what we like within the number of letters we are allowed.

I seem to recall there is a difference between the number of input characters allowed for a location on the main board and the forums. On initially joining the forums the location is copied across from the main board user registration in full. As soon as you make any attempt to edit the location in the forums User CP you are suddenly allowed less characters and it is truncated.

It may have been fixed (http://meetup.ebid.net/showthread.ph...light=location refers) but anyone altering their location prior to the fix could still exhibit the earlier truncation problem.

I only just changed the location as it seemed more appropriate. It was 'England' when I posted on this thread earlier
