Matt, I just read your post and wanted to assure you that I give the money to the American Cancer Society Online, and then they send me a receipt via the U.S. Mail. When I receive the receipt I post it for all to see. All but one seller forwards their money to me since I regularly contribute to the American Cancer Society. You see I lost a daughter in law to cancer and my husband is fighting his battle with cancer so it is a charity very dear to my heart. If you have any other concerns please let me know and I will be more than happy to answer them. Jackie (Gramma)

I have absolutely no doubt all of the money you raise goes to the American Cancer Society/chosen charity each month and my apologies if you thought I was implying otherwise.

Sometimes if I win a charity item listed over here that I don't particularly want or need then I will ask the seller to either relist the item or donate it to a local 'bricks and mortar' charity shop. It saves the seller the postage costs and means the item is still given to charity.

I wasn't sure if you have these 'bricks and mortar' charity shops in the US where people can donate items for sale instead of cash? I would be willing to bid on some items listed by US sellers but often I would find the postage costs prohibitive so it would be great if I could say "...here's the $ price for the item I won (minus the postage cost), please donate the item to the local charity shop...".
