it is time for me to leave for church but will be back later.

I'm not too worried, I've snagged a few winning bids back and got a few bids on other items aswell - it all part of the fun of charity fundraising. Its nice that you're able to get back involved with the charity side of our community - I know you do a lot of spiritual work for the community - but if you are able to get involved with the charity side of things again it would be nice to have you aboard - especially now as Gramma is cheerleader for the USA branch of the YDC.

With regard to the funds going to the charity - in the main part it is wholy based on trust. For my own part, if I bid on a charity item, I trust the seller 100% that the money will go to which ever charity they state in the item description. If I doubted that, I wouldn't bid / buy the item. The thing with a lot of the fundraising that the forum community does, it is the same players that do the listing and bidding for every fundraiser and that we chat to every day either here or on other chat & community sites. When I joined eBid Aug 2008 and joined in the September YDC, I had no doubts that the seller I bought from would pass the proceeds onto the nominated charity, the same as the buyers trusted that I would do the same, even though I was the new kid on the block at the time.

Its amazing how time flies - hard to think I've been here over a year

I have always felt comfortable with any of the fundraising I have joined in on in the past. I didn't realize they had a YDC or anything for the US until Gramma told me. LOL guess that shows I don't seem to spend a lot of time in the forums.

Yes time really seems to sail on by --- it doesn't seem like I have been here four years.

    Good Luck and Blessings

Time is running out fast. I must have a look and see if I have any green ticks left. And thank you moonie! I am ever so grateful! I will now invest the £6 in something else. Oh and I really would not be offended if there were a few more bids on my items

Ropegg - do you have MSABC/other charity shops or charity collection centres/centers in the US?

I can't speak for anyone else but I'd certainly be willing to meet the opening bid on some overseas items listed for charity if I knew my bid and the item would then be donated to the charity.
Matt, I just read your post and wanted to assure you that I give the money to the American Cancer Society Online, and then they send me a receipt via the U.S. Mail. When I receive the receipt I post it for all to see. All but one seller forwards their money to me since I regularly contribute to the American Cancer Society. You see I lost a daughter in law to cancer and my husband is fighting his battle with cancer so it is a charity very dear to my heart. If you have any other concerns please let me know and I will be more than happy to answer them. Jackie (Gramma)

I have been asked what the Faux Seed Pearl Necklace looked like when unrolled so I am posting a picture of it hanging down.

That isn't what he asked. He'd like to know if, should he buy the item, will you donate the item to a charity selling shop on his behalf, please, so that they can resell it to raise more money?

The man in the shop where I bought these, the lovely Jeremy of Gillards, swore to me that these were hugely popular and I'd be mobbed with buyers...

...you're not going to make him look like a fibber, now are you?
