    Default have I been scammed?

    Hi everyone.
I just won auction 19673709, the seller has no feedback. She has a very unusual name and her address doesn't show up on 192.com. I haven't paid yet as it all feels a bit fishy. I don't know if I should publish her name on the forum but if you look up the number you will see her username.

I wouldn't pay till I made contact with the seller and work it from there

On the surface it all looks ok - despite the fact that they only had the one item listed (or have taken the others off) and have not filled in anything on their about me page.

If you haven't done so already - do a 'request an invoice' thing through your AAL from the pull down menu selection attached to the item you've won. Leave it a few days, and if you don't get a response, you can then do one of 2 things - either do a second request invoice or contact support@ebid.net and report her as a on responsive seller.

Depending on when you actually made the purchase would be dependand on when to expect a reply. For example - If it was earlier this morning, the seller could be in work, the seller could be ill and unable to get to her computer,

    I hope that helps

Even though they are not registered on 192.com it could mean they are ex-directory

mine is ex directory so doesnt show up, however, 192.com also shows electoral roll results so maybe that is what the op meant?

There is also an opt out on the electoral roll too where you can tick an appropriate box to stop the council passing on your details to a third party

I hate all this automatic opt-in stuff with third parties and whatnot. It shouldn't be automatic opt-in, they should keep you off lists until you decide to opt-in so it should be automatic opt-out until you decide otherwise lol!

I wouldn't worry too much about the selling like only having one item listed etc. Some people do just sell the odd thing every now and then. My feedback does not represent the total number of items I have sold either because some buyers have never left feedback, so they've got none from me, fair's fair!

Do as already suggested, request an invoice and take it from there.

Person did just join last week so no feedback is not so worrysome. No bio page, not so worrysome. No other items for sale, a bit of a concern. But what strikes me as odd is how cheap the item is. My concern is that this new seller put this item on, thought it would bid up to triple its price just like on feebay. But it sold much cheaper. Maybe took a big loss and might not want to go thru with sale. If yes, she does, that is a great deal (aren't this like $75?)

I would ask for an invoice, and make contact with her. Maybe you did get a terrific bargain, maybe she is not so happy about it!

Yes, the name does not inspire confidence.

this seller has just joined , but the reserve was set and you bid the reserve...it seems the seller knows what they are doing...but it is possible they wanted more...I see nothing wrong or iffy about the name....have seen a lot worse than that....but as you have been told....ask for the invoice...wait a few days....you have not lost anything , so fingers crossed.....papa.

The seller only joined on the 29th Sept so I think they are just testing the water here. The fact that they have paid for seller+ and for extras seems a good sign. My only concern would be if they now think they priced their item too low as no bidding war ! As the others have said request an invoice and if no reply then contact support.
