payment question. New buyer and first sale here.

Hello,
I just made my first sale on this site and buyer's payment states card authorized but not debited yet. Is this normal for this site ?
I have been a seller elsewhere for a long time and have not come across this specific term before, I have had pending payment.
I presume it is because the buyer is new to this site also and may have confirmation issues. Input would be appreciated regarding this.

Congratulations on your 1st sale

I always get that message in my Google checkout account. I have to sign in and press the 'charge' button, then the transaction proceeds as normal.

I see you only accept PP
I do to but have never had a message like that before except on the occasions where it said pending, meaning the buyer sent an echeck using their Bank funds and that can take an age to clear.

Does the newbie have a strike through their name? This happens sometimes when registration confirmation is still going through the ebid system.
