Default More subdividing needed in dollhouse miniatures

We were looking at the dollhouse category. Someone has dolls in the dollhouse category as opposed to with the miniatures so we are proposing to add:

crafts-dolls and bears-dollhouse miniatures-people since there isnt one for people in there.

We also noticed nothing for renwal; ideal or acme though they could go in vintage; it would seem they need their own category since that is how people look for them.

    crafts-dolls and bears-dollhouse miniatures-renwal
    crafts-dolls and bears=dollhouse miniatures-ideal
    crafts-dolls and bears-dollhouse miniatures-acme

We are further proposing that the books for dollhouse and miniatures go into crafts if they have anything to do with instructions.

To further add if they dont come with instructions; there should be a category in dollhouse miniatures.

    crafts-dolls and bears-dollhouse miniatures-books no instructions.

We are coming up on the biggest shopping season of the year in a terrible resession, so all of us are listing and selling as much as possible. Our sales are increasing and we are super busy with customers, listings, mailings, etc. But we always have time to check out the forums in case there is a problem or someone needs help. All of us feel we owe this to other ebiders who may have problems we know the answers to.

Ebid is now contending with thousands of feebay people who are dropping out over there and joining this site. They need help with credit cards, changing status, etc. ebid also moved its server to US and has occasional glitches to work out. They are extremely good about fixing problems very quickly even with the 8 hour difference in time.

That said, I don't think this is a good time to go thru all the craft categories and point out what is wrong with them. Sure you will find stuff listed in wrong category. ebid has specific cure for that already, report it and it will be pulled. That is ebid's policy on wrong categories. But it is not done magically, it is done in response to a complaint. But this isn't the time to make major changes as you are proposing on numerous threads to this category including pulling all craft books out of the book category and listing them under the specialties.

No thank you. Books should be in books.

Here we go again - same old tune - different thread. It doesn't matter how many threads are started and in what areas, the answer you get will be the same.

Not all sellers use the forums. Not all sellers have the free time that you naturally seem to have to trapse through every single items to figure out what category it is in and whether or not that is the right or wrong category.

Books - is Books is Books. Books belong in the Book section.

If you feel that a book is listed in the wrong category - then as said before on the other threads - report it to support.

The category is Dolls House Miniatures or Dolls Houses ie a house for dolls! If I had my way it would have an apostrophe too.
I have never heard of renwal, ideal and acme (well apart from in the roadrunner cartoons) -so will not be looking for those!

BOOKS SHOULD BE WITH BOOKS! This is at least the fourth thread you have posted in an attempt to get your own way - we hear what you are saying - we have given our views - now could you please give us a break!

Amen. Putting books about something in the something category makes a complete mess when you browse the category.

People looking specifically for Renwal, etc. can do a search, which will allow them to find those items more quickly than browsing a category. Very specific subcategories are more for the benefit of listers than searchers. When I'm listing, I often wish there were FEWER subcategories.

Yes yes yes. We don't always have to have perfect with everything neat as a pin. My tolerance for sub cats is about 4, then I give up and do a specific search. Often these sub cats are very disappointing; may have very small amounts in each, may have wrong items, etc.

Bingo. If the title is right, you'll find it.
