authentic?

hi,
i'm really interested in buying some chanel no. 5 perfume from a seller that is claiming to be selling 100ml bottles of authentic chanel no.5 for £49.99 rather than the retail price of £80.

i'm worried that the product is not authentic due to the low price tag...

help?

TBH I would not know how to sort fake from real in any fragrance, hence why I don't sell them.

Is the seller showing a stock picture or the actual item, is there any previous feedback, are they a business or individual?

If it sounds too good to be true then it could be worth leaving alone

I can't vouch for a particular seller, and I'm certainly no expert on expensive perfumes, but . . . I get a mail-order catalog from a U.S. company that routinely offers expensive and mid-range perfumes at deep discounts (similar to this seller's discount). I have purchased some of my favorite fragrances from them, and they look and smell like the real thing, and I believe they're authentic.

The suggested retail prices for items like these are what we'd pay in a high-end department store, where the markups are higher.

Not answering questions is a very bad sign. I would definitely not buy from them until they respond and give you some assurances.

Is Chanel No. 5 manufactured or is it bottled straight at the horse farm?


Seriously, though, real items tend to not sell below retail cost unless being sold privately by a private seller, and who honestly resells perfume? I'd assume the product is fake if it is cheap. A real name brand like Chanel isn't going to be discounted.
