Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.

I'm not sure I understand the reason for the OP. I don't see any new suggestions on how to protect ourselves.

Malware, viruses, spyware, and hackers have all been around for a long time. I have a firewall, a virus scanner, a spyware scanner, and I don't open junk emails or unknown websites. That's the best I can do.

Are we supposed to abandon the internet? That's like telling us not to drive because a drunk driver might hit our car.

the OP's original post was deleted and another thread was started. He found a "new" or what was thought to be new article about computer chips from China being in everyone's computer that, when activated, would call home"..(old hoax but reposted and tweaked to seem a new story) then another link was provided for a Fox News article about Malware. Of course Malware/Spyware and computer chips are two different things.
As far as being protected, that is up to you. Keep your virus protection updated and make sure your virus scans are done weekly if not more often (depending on how much you are on the internet). Never download online from an unprotected source, especially if you are not familiar with the site. Most of these sites have Malware/Spyware. Make sure your virus protection scans your email also.

I do not have all the answers. If I had a fix I would be rich. Maybe in the future all you will buy to access the internet will be a small machine with a browser. Your imformation is stored on a remote hard drive. When you want to do something else it will disconnect from the internet to work with your files on the hard drive. That way all your info is keep more secure. Just like all your listings here. They are on ebid servers. Not your computer. Off to mail some packages. Thought a brain pool is better than just one. Of course I always expect the odd smarty pants remark. I was trying to be serious.

I knew this was the wrong place to post this imformation. People put too much trust in their antivirus. They scan all the files in your computer. They do updates in the background that you do not even see. What stops a disgruntled employee from walking out with your imformation stored on a usb storage device or transferred to another server from work? Internet security is a huge problem nowadays. Ask the banks and credit card companies. That's why I started a blog to post imformation. An auction site has people struggling to make listings. This is abit more advanced stuff.
