The little polar bear that captured the hearts of many!
Today I watched "Knut and Friends" on Sky's channel 532, but it's available on Sky Anytime too. While I was watching it, my little Oliver, who is a 4 month old cavalier king charles, stood in front of the tv with his ball, dropped it and started growling at the little bear..
You see, the documentary features two orphan brown bears and I couldn't believe Oliver's attention span. The programme is just over 45 minutes long and he sat there for the full programme.. He only stopped growling at the two little brown bears when I said to him
"It's okay Oliver, they're just want their din dins...."
That seemed to convince him that they were no threat and sat there for the whole of the programme, the odd time looking back at me in awe of what he was watching!!
Fantastic documentary if you have time to watch it. Sad news is that I didn't realise the zookeeper, Thomas Dorflein died suddenly from cardiac related problems aged only 44 years.
What a wonderful man he was, one can see he was completely devoted to his little charge..
