Tales of terror

Hello everyone. Do you ever wish you were a good writer? I've had alot of great experiences and also some not so great. Here is one after I went over a river bank and went a quarter of a mile to the bottom. Needless to say that truck I owned was totalled. The pic is not very good as it was about 30 below and the camara was failing. That's me laying on the ground beside it seeing how much stuff we had to tie up. We pulled it out with a couple of bull dozers. Scanning and saving a bunch of pictues of that fateful day right now. Still here to tell the tale! One of my "Drama in real life" moments.
Wish I could write better. I could probally fill a good sized book!

You bet nutty and I'm thankful for that. Every day above ground is a bonus. One day I might just get around to writing about some of my experiences working in the oil&gas fields in northern BC, Canada. I've also lost some co-workers who are not here to tell the stories. People never think about some of this stuff when they walk over and turn up the thermostat of their heater. It's not only in wars that people loose their lives. Even in everyday things we all take for granted.

Not to take anything away from them but being an ice trucker is slack compared to rig moving. The ice is flat and you just have to go slow so you do not build an air bubble in front of you and crack the ice. Boring as get go. Getting big loads up and down mountains in extreme conditions is far more challenging. The ice truckers just got TV exposure.

I'm saying nutty one day when my writing skills are better I should write about some of the things I have seen and done. In the mean time eat your heart out.
