Thread: New & correctly worded Questions

  1. #1

Question New & correctly worded Questions

Deleted last Q as it had an error in the OP, but these are correct

Henrietta, a hippo at Conundrum zoo, turns the scales at two-thirds of her own weight, plus two-thirds of a ton.

    How heavy is Henrietta?

    -----------------------------------------------------------

The Conundrom Corners town hall clock has 4 faces. At a certain hour yesturday, the times those faces showed were 4;30.....3....7.....and 6.

"One clock was correct" said the mayor.

"Another is only half as wrong as the clock which is three-quarters as wrong as the clock which (when you know the true time) appears to be fastest."

    Which clock was right?

I have to ask this.......how can a clock be ''half as wrong'' or ''three-quarters as wrong ''?

Thanks Astral! ROFL! I just could not be bothered to even guess either.

Better go find something constructive to do.

I imagine that if a clock is half as wrong as a clock saying 1pm which is in it's self an hour wrong then the half as wrong would only be 30 minutes wrong.

Or we could just ask the mayor

I am only writing whats written in the book, It's not my fault if i don't understand the questions, Likewise my logic is not always explained that well as logic is not logical to me anyway
