Great picture!
You are a brave soul~
We had a wasp nest in a hole in the ground once.
We had to get rid of it because it was dangerious to the goats.
Had one in me attic last year. Was wondering how the wasps kept getting in the house. Thankfully I was told they do not return to a used nest, Haven't been up to check this year though.
We were told that Mel, when they got rid of the one in the field..
Super pic!
Get the killer spray out! I will put bugs out of the house when I find them but draw the line at wasps, hornets yellow jackets, or what we call "ground bees". I was gardening last week and some ground bees had built a nest in the ground of the flower bed and they really came for me!! The dogs have been bitten by yellow jackets and lost saucer sized patches of hair from the hundreds of bites. Dangerous.
What is a child stumbled on the wasp nest and got bitten? Wasps, hornets and ground bees are vicious and repeatedly sting. Better to get rid of them fast. The sprays are now foam that covers the nest and kills the insects.
Picture was excellent but you know, if it was smoother it looks like a grey squirrel's nest. They build strange basket ball shaped nests, quite smooth, that could be mistaken for a hornet's nest too. Big difference.
The nest is not in my garden or it would be vacant by now. I've told the groundsmen at the golf course where I found it and it is up to them.
