Thread: Multiple (identical) items to list - confused!

  1. #1

Question Multiple (identical) items to list - confused!

I have a number of items where I have multiples of each.

They're not the sort of thing people would want more than one of so Dutch auction doesn't seem the way to go.

Can I do Buy It Now with multiple items or is Dutch the only way to list more than one at a time?

Yes as seller+ you can list a Buy it now with multiple items. (no more than 25 I think) so when 1 is purchased the rest stay running and amount available goes down.

    Hope that helps

Arrrggghhhh - EXCELLENT! Many thanks alm1995. (Now why couldn't I find that in 'Help'?)

Another way is to relist the item after you make a sale. I just checked my Sold Items, and there's a box labeled "Repost". I haven't used it, but I would imagine this works the same as relisting an unsold item.

Yes, the re-post works but I was trying to find a way of key-boarding as little as possible - and not making a hash or recounting!

Perhaps I'll use both and offer one on auction and the rest as buy it now.

    I s'pose I could just shop-list the BIN's.

Oh roll on the end of October when I'll have more time to actually get stuck into things!

That would still be a duplication Grannie, you can only have *one* listing per item, regardless of type of listing.

dont forget it you use the relist button to relist if you have sold any to alter the quanity otherwise it will relist it as the original listing with the quantity as it was before purchases were made x mandy

the other option is to slightly change the title maybe add a number to each I had to list my doors that way so I had ledge and brace 30 inch, ledge and brace 27 inch etc. it does leave you auction list looking a bit boring but until I get a load of new photos done its the way it will stay.

Made to measure internal and external softwood doors and gates.
Visit our ebid store to see a wide range of ledge and brace, cottage, stable and garage doors along with a selection of single and paired gates. Just click on the banner above

That's great if the items really are different, like yours, but just adding "a" or "b" or whatever is often thought of as a trick to get round the duplicates rule, which isn't on of course.
