Thread: The Bill

  1. #1

    Default The Bill

If we've got any fans of the longest running police drama series on eBid, then this week is the last episodes of The Bill. Cause from Next Thursday 9pm ITV1 see's the first pilot episode of the new series of The Bill with the 2nd episode being shown on Friday at 9pm then every week on Thursday's at 9pm.

The new series of the bill will include New title credits, theme music and incidental music playing throughout episodes also Sgt Dale Smith gets promoted. Also character lines will be longer. However those in the STV region will not be able to watch it as its not available to them
Don't walk in front of me..I may not follow-don't walk behind me..I may not lead-just walk beside me and be my friend.

So its kinda like the drama series equivalent of ebid?

Soon we see the last of the old ebid.
Then comes the new Ebid with new theme etc.

That doesnt mean the end of ebid - just means a new layout.

Isnt that the same for The Bill? Hardly the last episodes if they are bringing out another series starting next week.

Just means its the Bill.....Series 2.

Like our " Law and Order" which has been around what seems like 100 years, changed actors a zillon times and has spinoffs of Law and Order - Criminal Intent, Law and Order - Sexual Assault Unit.

On L & O they are detectives so do not have the New York police uniforms, plain clothes cops with a mission. With all the reruns, we are swamped with Law and Order.

Had to stop watching The Bill. Partly because it had become too much about personal lives rather than policing, partly because they had got rid of the good cast members and brought in a load of young uns (is Tony still surviving?). But mainly because they started showing sponsor bits at the start and end of each segment (Parazone I think) and the actors face used to make me feel physically sick.

The Bill being a form of soap, once you get out of the 'habit' of watching it it loses any appeal that it once had that makes you switch on.
