Angry Impossible to upgrade for the last week

I have tried innumerable times over the last week to upgrade to seller. I get the NetBanx page and when it tries to contact the card issuer, I get this error message: "Verified by Visa unavailable." This cannot be the case as Visa would never have a system failure of this duration. Normally we have to give the actual billing address with city, state and ZIP on internet forms but Netbanx has you enter only the house name or number. Mine is a Post Office Box and I have tried the number "xxxx", "P O Box xxxx" etc. but always get the error message. I finally sent a complaint directly to NetBanx:

"I have tried repeatedly over the last week to register my VISA card with ebid. The link to your site is OK but everytime I enter the information, I get a message "Verified by VISA is unavailable." This seems to be a problem with your website. Perhaps it is the silly thing of using a house number instead of the actual address with city and state. What can I do to resolve this?"

This difficulty in upgrading to about enough to sour one on eBid!

My MasterCard update was also declined & I received a call from them in minutes asking if it was a legitimate charge. (I also use a PO Box as a billing address.) After OKing the charge - and resubmitting it - it was accepted. Perhaps a call to Visa could help. We are using a US card on a British site - a red flag for fraud(??) in the credit card's eyes.

Sorry to hear your having such problems,

As I understand it, eBid are having issues with NetBanx especially after the huge server changeover to Dallas, Texas and they are looking into alternatives.

I advise you contact support@ebid.net and repeat to them exactly what you said here, you'll receive a ticket number then a human respons. I'm sure they'll be able to help you further. Bare in mind that admin are in the UK and it's Sunday, so it may take a few hours to get a personal response from them.

I know it's a pain ITB at the moment, but try to be patient a little longer, it'll all be worth it in the end.
