I just tried the same thing in IE7. Same situation.

Bring up the listing and the picture is there.

Go into edit mode and the picture is not displayed, just the dreaded red X. Go to My Gallery and bring it in again, it gets displayed.

This isn't the end of the world, having the pictures displayed is a new feature.

Sorry Tia, we're at cross purposes, my post was about the extra code added to listings, which I think is causing some of the descriptions etc being in the wrong place, which Froggy was complaining about.

Anyway further research seems to point to it being the Browser Highlighter plugin causing the problem.

    Oops!

I remember I had problems with text displacement in the descriptions before the system update. So that would explain why it's in my old listings. I haven't had any problems updating these (even when I change the text) as long as I stick to FireFox or IE7. And I'm not ambitious enough to switch to HTML to try to clean them up, or to redo them completely.

However, since Froggy is a new member, that wouldn't explain how this code got into her listings.

I went to an auction I added yesterday, #17316469

Same thing. It looks fine in the gallery.

I went into Edit/Close Auction, and the gallery thumbnail has a red X.

The code does not have all that gobbledygook. So the code is not the cause of the picture not showing. Two unrelated problems.

If she is using Firefox 3 0 10 & the Browser Higlighter plugin (which seems to be installed as part of a skype plugin) this would be what's causing the problem.

So either removing the Browser Highlighter, or upgrading to the latest version of firefox, should solve the problem for new listings, as long as they ARE totally new & not started from list similar, or defaults that have the problem.

Just tried to delete 2 live auctions and got the same error message: "domestic postage error" on the left and "error 1" on the right of the page.
Had to close them and then delete them from my closed auctions page.

Please note, this is the exact text from another thread I started about half an hour ago, because I hadn't noticed the "error1" bit in this thread.

I've just had another attempt at deleting a live auction and got the same error message.
It works fine when first closing the auction and then deleting it from my "closed auctions".
