This brings to mind one modern custom that has always puzzled me. It's hot, the sun has been beating down all day. Everyone is uncomfortably warm. So what do they do? They go out into the back garden and light a fire! (They call it a BBQ!) Okay....that makes sense. Not.

Reminds me, when I was a kid we had a BQ in a wheelbarrow ( dont know why) and my grandad got tipsy, dancing around the garden ended up falling into the wheelbarrow Ouch
