I'm reading The Angel's Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafon - will let you know if it is as good as his previous marvel, The Shadow of the Wind.
I am on my 3rd book since leaving the UK. During the flight I read a children's book 'Skull Island' and I did enjoy it very much. My mind has now gone blank and I can't remember the title of the 2nd one. But now I m reading Georgette Heyer's No wind of blame.
I'm reading The Gone Away World, by Nick Harkaway. Only heard of the book because I "bumped into him" on Twitter, and went for a nosey at his site. It's absolutely extraordinary. I used to read a lot of science fiction, but haven't done so for a while. And always like the odd action adventure. Love a good mystery. This has all of those, plus ninjas. What's not to love?
Fascinating. It's got several really interesting, and original ideas. Looking forward to seeing how it finally turns out... it's been anything except predictable so far, so I'm not trying to out guess him on the ending!
I wasn't entirely sure at first, it seemed like there was so much packed in, I didn't see how it could keep its direction, but it does. Cracking stuff.
I fancied reading something different, so remembering posts on this thread when I was in a charity shop yesterday, I picked up an Agatha Raisin & a Miss Silver, so which should I read first?
Gothicina.
