    ALL VIRGIN / NTL USERS

    I am back into the main site again.
    I had to do it through the 150 number> faulty equipment choice.
    Fortunately, I had a nice Asian chap who seemed to know what he was doing - he did a trace on the access path, and then helped me reset LAN numbers.
    Whole thing took about 20 minutes though, and he had to go and check it out with someone higher - this just MIGHT get your plight noticed as he seemed quite astonished about it!!

    i have just tried calling virgin again and read him your message, he went off and asked someone, came back and said he knows what the problem is and its nothing to do with the pc settings its to do with ebid, and the fact that he can access the site proves that they are catching up.

    I argued with my bloke and made him try to USE the site ie past the first page!

    If you like, I could give you the LAN settings, but they might not be right because you are in a different area to me!

    i tried the '8080' etc given in a previous post and that didnt work. i guess its the luck of the draw on whos at the end of virgins phone line when you call. i think i will just try to be patient and hope ebid sorts it.

    Reading all the messages it would seem to be a very eratic problem as I cannot access ebid but in the same house my son does have access both of us have virgin and use firefox, only in the last 5 mins have I been able to get into the forum so things do seem to be changing

    Yeh
    I had an alternative name for Tiscali - we are still down

    Luckily we have no listings running @ the mo although people haven't paid for auctions

    Looks like we are playing away again this evening. We've been putting out a few flyers in our "other" sales, Potential new customers maybe lost & so it is affecting us all regardless of who can access & who can't at this time.

    We realise that limited resources may mean compromises in service, but there is a general expectancy amongst inetrnet users for sites to be available 24/7 ?

    Using 3 browsers - all well flushed - still same
