Lightbulb Auction import tool from eBay to eBid?

    Hello all,

I seem to recall a newsletter from eBid last June that stated that eBid was going to release a tool to import running auctions on eBay directly into eBid. In part it said:

"With a large influx of new users joining us from other auction sites, we have been asked many times for a way to import auctions from these sites. This is something we have decided to follow up and will soon have the facility ready for use."

Was that tool ever released? If so, can someone tell me where we can download it?

I know how well the "Mr. Grabber" program works on iOffer; & having a program like that HERE on eBid would be a great benifit.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

It was said that the Ninja Lister under the new development team would have the capability to import listings from other sites.

I can't see that it will be a simple import/export job though as things like categories will not match up.

    Hello again,

The statement in the OP was taken from the June 2008 Newsletter. It was sent out June 6th of 2008 to be exact. (We archive email, so I looked it up). If needed, I will be glad to post a PDF online for review.

I can say with certainty, that a program to import from eBay to eBid shouldnt take over a year to develop. The reason I can say this, is because inkfrog.com just developed one of their (inkfrog's) own OVER A WEEKEND after Auctiva.com started charging for their (Auctiva's) & inkfrog got FLOODED with new members. It was requested by new members on a Thursday, & by the next Monday an import tool for inkfrog was ready to go.

Does anyone know of there is an ETA as to when the Ninja program will actually be online?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Astral,

The "Mr Grabber" program that iOffer uses works quite well. It automatically imports from eBay to iOffer virtually without a hitch. IF there is a conflict between eBay's catagory options & iOffer's, the auctions in questions get flagged within iOffer; & you simply choose the correct iOffer catagory & post the auction.

"Mr Grabber" has been fully operational for years now; & as I said before, works quite well.

I think the last word from admin was at http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread....151#post955151

The reason it has taken so long is that eBid were 'badly let down' (I think that was the phrase that was used) by the team that were developing the Ninja Lister. To the point they eventually were forced to ditch them and hand the task to a new development team who had to start again from scratch.

Correction: This would appear to be the last reference by admin to the Ninja Lister release: http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showpost.ph...30&postcount=5

So as of now ebid has nothing like Mr Grabber? Thats rough for me - I have 4000 listings on ebay. Is there any alternative for a guy like me rather then the dreaded re-writing all my listings?

And by the way, does anyone know that because mr. grabber pulls the ebay image from there website if there is a copyright infringement issue there? I have always wondered that. All i need is another new reason ebay boots me... ughhhh

Anyway, any info would be great/// thanks

I would imagine that if an image is your own, then feebay don't have any rights to it, UNLESS it's stated in the membership acceptance T & Cs.
Why not take a quick look at my Stores?

Find all kinds of books HERE

    Find 'Plus Size' Clothes HERE

Find NEW tiny Baby Stuff HERE

    Find 'Bits & Bobs' HERE

I read the ebay terms and conditions and it does say that anything on the site does become property of feebay. They also put an insignia on the lower right corner of every photo uploaded to the site. But, I agree if its my photo that i took - how can they enforce that???

    Any ideas? thx
