I thought kitchen knives were exempt, whether in sets or individually.

This is Gazza's post below in the link, yes it does say that the catergory has been removed, but it also says that all knives are banned. Yes it's open to interpretation if you read it different to me, but I'm not bothered re the OP. If I was I would have reported it,

However I have emailed support with a direct question asking if all knives are banned or is there exceptions to the rule.

I was under the impression that offensive weapons were banned i.e. switch blades, pen knifes. But thought knifes in a cutlery set were permitted, after all you can't call a kitchen cutlery set a set if they haven't got the knifes with them can you

BTW this statement does not ban kitchen knives in my opinion

"UPDATE - Removed Collectables > Swords & Knives category. After reviewing the effectiveness of our keyword alert system for dangerous knives and bladed weapons it has been decided that this will be a never ending cat and mouse game with the sellers of these items. The sale of all knives, swords and machetes is now not permitted on eBid."

they are still allowed on ebay !
