    You just want something on the bottom of the back of the frame to cause a little friction, don't you? Like a felt square or something?

    Have tried that. I had some of those felt pads that stop furniture scratching wood floors so stuck one of those on as a trial. I'll see how effective it is.

    I have velcro'd pictures to the wall before rather than using nails or hooks. That works but is rather permanent.

    Hey Astral

    I sell the glue dots and velcro dots if your felt pad doesn't work. (Not listed here but very willing to add to listings if anyone interested.) Otherwise, I hear that white tack is better than blue tack in not leaving marks on the wall.
