    Default Goebel

Hello all , I have this Goebel Chicken ? and I know how old it is and who the Master scultor was but I am unable to find a place to get some kind of value for it ...
I have tried a lot of sites including the Factory....but no joy...
I have had this for over 15 years and have NEVER SEEN AN OTHER...
so I would be glad of any help regarding this wee bird...
    thanks for now , Papa.

    Hi Papa,,

I sell a good bit of Goebel, and Hummel, see the link below,

its mot a rare piece, value small,

its finding a buyer, as that range ( stylised ) which is not popular with collectors,

even the life like are not moving well, just now,

    even when they are cheap,

I have noticed over the last two years the price drop, and sales fall off,

even on the more popular Beswick birds, in fact its dire across the whole collectables field,

if it was mine, I would list at £12.99 take an offer of £10.00,

but you make your own mind up,

    have fun,

I think it is quite a unique piece for Goebel. I've not seen anything like that either. If you have the sculptor name attached to the piece it could be more valuable than £12.99. Have you tried getting a valuation at an auction house, or better still, wait for the Flog it or Real deal Tv crew to come to your area for a better valuation!

Hi Spark , yes I think it might be worth a bit more than that ....not much chance of those progs here , we are almost in the middle of nowhere , and going nowhere fast.... ( Scottish Borders ).
I got the Name of the master sculptor and dates from the Goebel Factory..but the records were destroyed in a fire...I kept the print out ..but as you say also ...never seen another...
happy to hang on to it a bit longer , it is not a big eater.....
    regards , Papa.
