If you were promoting eBid, the demography really dosn't matter, it's all about brand awareness & curiosity.
However, if you are promoting your own goods ie: watches, start with some research. Are your customers mainly older?, Who is the target audience? etc.
Ask your local postie which area has the most amount of parcels delivered (catalogues use their own courier services).
It may be cost effective just to stand & hand out flyers (you normally need permission for this re: local council etc.)
Does your local area operate a luncheon club? Older folk could be quite nostalgic about some of your watches! Even if they are not on the net - they will have relatives / friends who are!
"Court" your potential customers ie: free delivery within x miles of xyz. Sales are about price.........and "schmooz" lol
